Project Description

Want to drink award-winning beer?
We’ve got that on tap.

Small-batch, hand-crafted ales & lagers brewed in the heart of Nelson on Baker Street

Our multi-award winning brewmaster and co-owner, Mike Kelly, believes in making beer that adheres to traditional styles, ingredients and principles. High quality and consistency are hallmarks of his 20+ year career in commercial brewing. Our beers are always changing as we rotate offerings representing the world over, including lesser-known and forgotten beer styles.

If that’s not your thing, we also keep a consistent core of more recognizable styles — all brewed with Mike’s attention to detail.

Citracilious HopLager

A crisp and refreshing lager generously hopped with the unique and lovely Citra© hop variety. A clean malt profile is complimented by notes of grapefruit, melon, lime, and gooseberry.

5.5% ABV   28 IBU

A silky smooth, refreshing, Belgian style farmhouse ale suitable for any time of year. The unique strain of yeast adds spicy, peppery, fruity, and citrus notes to this ale. Pours a rich orange hue topped by a thick, white head.

First Descent Northwest IPA

A classic hop-forward Northwest IPA. A clean malt profile sets up an assertive citrus, pine and floral hop bouquet, balanced with notes of lemon, pear and apricot.

Hippie Katcher Kolsch

A German style ale traditionally brewed in the Cologne region. Our interpretation of this style features cool fermentation and an extensive lagering period to produce a clean and subtle flavour profile with hints of pear and mandarin orange.  A crisp, light beer that goes down easy after a long day at the office or out in the woods.

5.4% ABV 14 IBU

Ambree Biere de Garde

Our take on this unique style features predominant plum and raisin notes with hints of black cherry and oak. Aged in Pinot Noir barrels, the smooth, subtly sweet body is complimented by a crisp and delicately tart finish.
